Game Plan for Christ: LOC Men’s Ministry

The Bible is clear: Men are the spiritual leaders of their families. What does this mean? Many things, but one thing in particular: If we are the leaders, then there are no excuses. If we are followers we can blame the leader. But if we are leaders, like the Bible says we are, then we must lead our families in God’s ways. At Light of Christ we take this very seriously. We believe in almost every case that if the Heavenly Father can get the husband/father, He gets the entire family!
In our Men’s Ministry you will find a place for laughter, friendship, spiritual growth, and submission to God. If you are patient and faithful we believe that over time you will discover how important you are to the Father. You will discover you matter a great deal in this world. You will find regular guys who will become your brothers forever. You will find accountability. You will grow up in Christ.
This is a simple process, but it takes commitment from you. Jesus used normal guys, like fishermen, 2000 years ago to build His Church. Simple men who committed their lives to Him, and in many cases gave their lives for Him. We believe He is using the same type of guys today to continue the construction. We are not looking to produce pastors, theologians, seminary professors, or authors. We are looking for God to make us men of God, and use us for His purposes.
One other thing: The first ones to be blessed by God’s work in your life will be your family.

Our Core Reality: In view of the Father’s mercy in sending His Son to die so we will live forever, as men of God the following is the essential reality of our lives:

Therefore we will honor Him
*By our loving commitment to Him before and above all others.
*In our homes, as spiritual leaders.
*On our teams by encouraging and supporting each other.
*By reading the Father’s letter to us, the Bible
*At work, as men of integrity.
*With our finances, giving to Him first.
*By inviting brothers and sisters to return to Him.
*On Sundays, as we join with His family to worship Him.
*By representing Him in His world.
